The Studio, Apple TV+'s new comedy series, has been one of the most highly anticipated shows of 2025, and it received rave reviews and praise before it even premiered. This should come as no surprise, with the guys behind Superbad, This Is The End, and The Interview at its helm—a.k.a. Seth Rogen and his longtime creative partner Evan Goldberg. And it also helps that the show features some of the biggest names in the film industry. After all, this is a series about Hollywood.

The Studio follows Matt Remick (played by Seth Rogen), who enthusiastically accepts a new role as the head of a film studio after his boss gets fired. What he didn't realize was just how much he had to deal with in his new job. He was always aware that show business was tough, but between corporate demands, his own creative ambitions, and all the big personalities he has to manage—the position is a lot. Matt has to grapple with the realities of a job he's been pursuing his whole life, and the insecurities that it's forcing him to confront. He quickly realizes that this job might not be about making great movies—the things he loves most in the world—but destroying them. And this may very well destroy him.

Aside from Rogen himself, you can expect to see a lot of familiar faces in the main cast, as well as multiple A-list cameos, and we've assembled a roundup of the show's biggest names here.

Seth Rogen as Matt Remick

Matt Remick eats, sleeps, and breathes movies. He's a film geek who has dedicated his entire life to studying and making motion pictures—hoping to one day be one of the greats. But in his desperation to succeed in a business that's struggling to stay relevant and alive, he's afraid that he might be losing his own artistic vision and creative ambitions.

Seth Rogen is a comedian, actor, and screenwriter whose magnum opus includes films like Superbad, Pineapple Express, Knocked Up, The Interview, Sausage Party,The Disaster Artist, and many more.

Bryan Cranston as Griffin Mill

Griffin Mill is the CEO of Continental Studios. He may be the head honcho, but he prefers to hire people to take care of the problems in his studio rather than dealing with them himself. Matt is one of those people.

Bryan Cranston is a six-time Emmy winning actor who is most famous for his starring roles as Walter White in Breaking Bad and Hal in sitcom Malcolm in the Middle. He's also starred in numerous films, including the 2013 Oscars Best Picture, Argo.

Catherine O'Hara as Patty Leigh

Patty Leigh is the beloved, longtime studio head that Matt is replacing. She is also his former boss and mentor, who he has a lot of respect for. While she's certainly a tough cookie, she's got a soft spot for her mentee and graciously decides to stick around and advise him.

Catherine O'Hara's most iconic performances include Kate McCallister in the Home Alone film franchise, Delia Deetz in Beetlejuice, and her most recent breakout as Moira Rose in Schitt's Creek.

Ike Barinholtz as Sal Saperstein

Sal is Matt's colleague and best friend. He becomes one of the core people in Matt's team, advising him and helping him run the studio. But mixing business with pleasure isn't always a great idea, especially when your bestie is a hot mess like Sal.

Ike Barinholtz is a comedian who you might recognize from his run on the iconic 2000s sketch show MADtv. His other work includes Neighbors, Suicide Squad, and The Mindy Project.

Kathryn Hahn as Maya Mason

Maya is the zero-filter head of marketing at Continental Studios. She's unafraid of speaking her mind and calling things as they are, which is all great—until Matt ends up on the receiving end of her undbridled rage.

Kathryn Hahn received a ton of praise for her role as Agatha Harkness in WandaVision and Agatha All Along. But the actress has also delivered masterclass performances in projects like Step Brothers, Bad Moms, We're the Millers, Mrs. Fletcher, and Parks & Recreation.

Chase Sui Wonders as Quinn Hackett

Quinn is Matt's young, starry-eyed assistant, who he promotes to creative exec once he steps into his new role as the head of the studio. And it's a much-deserved promotion, because she's whip-smart and someone that Matt can rely on.

Chase Sui Wonders is an American actress most known for playing Riley in the HBO Max series Generation, and Emma in the slasher-comedy film Bodies Bodies Bodies.

Rebecca Hall as Linda Rosenkratz

Linda is a pediatric oncologist, and Matt's new girlfriend. She's hot, smart, and has a big heart. Matt's never really had relationships outside of work, so this is a first for him and he can only hope he won't mess this up.

Rebecca Hall is an actor-turned-producer and director. She's starred in films like The Town and Iron Man 3, and made her directorial debut with the drama film Passing.

Olivia Wilde as Olivia Wilde

To make the show feel authentic, and also insert a bit of tongue-in-cheek humor, a lot of stars and filmmakers are going to be appearing as themselves. This includes actress and Don't Worry Darling and Booksmart director Olivia Wilde.

It seems like Wilde will be playing a contentious version of herself, who faces off with our protagonist.

I repeat: expect some A++ A-list cameos on this show. The very first episode features the Martin Scorsese. Need I say more?

The legendary director is the genius behind Academy Award-winning films like Goodfellas, The Aviator, Taxi Driver, and more recently, Maestro and Killers of the Flower Moon.

Steve Buscemi as Steve Buscemi

Another IRL film icon that's making an appearance is actor and producer Steve Buscemi. Buscemi is famous for numerous roles throughout his long career in Hollywood, including The Big Lebowski, Armageddon, Big Fish, and The Sopranos.

Greta Lee is currently one of Hollywood's most in-demand leading ladies, ever since her big break as Nora in Celine Song's A24 film Past Lives. She's also played supporting roles in Russian Doll, The Morning Show, and Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.

Sarah Polley as Sarah Polley

Canadian filmmaker, writer, and former actress Sarah Polley plays a fictionalized version of herself in the show. It's very clear that she's not too fond of Matt, even as she tries to conceal it.

Polley played the eight-year-old title character of the show Ramona, based on Beverly Cleary's books. She also played the starring role in CBC television series Road to Avonlea. Since her stint as a child actress, she's created acclaimed films, including Away from Her, Take This Waltz (in which Rogen played the leading man), and Women Talking.
